07/07/10: We Did It!

Well, we did it a few months ago but we did do it. We went to Japan and we kicked its kubuki! Now we're back and we got a new show for ya. July 21st at the Sunset tavern in Ballard The Golden Robot Army Acoustic Scuba Troopers (Like the 'Light Brigade' but with more cover tunes) will rock some acoustic bootay for Amy 'Mexcimo' Frothingham's #33. there's going to be costumes and feather dancers and "je ne sais qua."

Also, footage from our upcoming Japan tour Documentary will be leaked soon. Keep an eye and computer on our YouTube page. And check our Flickr too. we'll keep postring shots from Nippon as we go through them and edit out Andy's 50,000,000 shots of Japanese cars.

03/19/10: We're gonna do it!

Well, it's finally time: we're heading to Japan! We'll be there from 3/21 through 3/31. We have shows in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya; if you know anyone in any of those areas, tell them to come see us!

We'll be filming, blogging and vlogging the whole time we're there, so if you have any ideas for things you'd like to see, or to see us do, please email us!

03/01/10: Thanks, Army!

What a fantastic time at Super Good Sexy Fun Happy Show-Time Nite! A night filled with fun food and rock & roll. A surprise performance by Bakelite 78 as well as fanny kicking performances by fellow Seattle acts Alabaster and Good Touch Bad Touch. Thanks to all the bands and all our awesome fans for making another night a great one. All in the name of sending us to Japan!

We know that this last US show at the Comet will be a doozy too. Stop by and rock out American style with us before we fly away. Maybe we wont come back. Just kidding.

02/23/10: Thanks, Portland!

What a great time at the Parlour in Portland, Oregon the other night. Met some new friends and saw some great musicians. Makes us very excited to fly all the way to Tokyo and do it again.

01/28/10: Thanks, Chop Suey.

What a great show last night at Chop Suey opening up for Laff Hole. It's one of our favorite events to perform at. In case you missed it, we should have video feed from the show up soon. If You took any pictures, we'd love to see them. Please send them to info@goldenrobotarmy.com.

01/02/10: Happy New Year, Army.

Hope y'all had a safe and fun New Years! We all get to say, "good-bye," to a tragic and exciting decade and, "hello," to a clean slate and some new beginnings for all. We took the night off to celebrate with our loved ones. But we are charging into the new decade with vigor. Lots of new info to share. Too much for right now. We'll give you a hint though... there's going to be some secret shows before we leave for the Orient. We'll pass along some hints as needed. For now, Happy New Decade, Army! Let's make this one our best yet.

12/10/09: Got more shows for ya!

We're going to be playing at the Shanty Tavern this Saturday night with RadioShark and Uncle Doodad. We're excited about this show; it's our first time in Lake City. All the info is on the flyer to the right. Only a few months left before we tour Japan so see us now befoe we go all international on you.

12/10/09: Konichiwa!

We just scheduled our FIRST INTERNATIONAL TOUR! GRA will be touring japan at the end of March, playing Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya! All the dates/venues are up at our shows page and our myspace. Very soon, we'll have a page up where you can contact our Japan booking agency and buy tickets (y'know, should you be in Japan in March and all). We'll also be filming everything we can out there, so rest assured: there will be videos when we return!

In the meantime, we've got shows this month, February, and likely a big tour send-off in March; you better be there!

 

09/06/09: We're back, and we brought the ROCK!

That was awesome! Did you see us at the High Dive last night?! That place was packed!
Kudos to that kid for trying to crowd-surf (although we're not really sure it's that kind of venue), and those two girls who made out on the stage (even though you totally almost got stepped on).

We've got some more shows booked, as you can see; we're ready to do it up, proper-like. We're going to rock it with you for a bit to really get our new, louder, legs under us, and then hopefully a new release soon.
